What is Crunchyroll Mega Fan?
Short Answer
Mega Fan is a paid Crunchyroll subscription tier that bundles ad-free streaming with offline downloads and multiple simultaneous streams—check Crunchyroll directly for the exact feature list in your region. Watch party hosts care because everyone in the room still needs their own access to the video before AniDachi can sync their players. The AniDachi host needs Plus or Pro, including during a trial; friends join for free.
Definition
Think of Mega Fan as Crunchyroll's power-user path: more flexibility for households or friends who juggle multiple devices. Plans and pricing change; confirm what's live in your country before promising your crew a specific dollar amount.
How it affects watch parties
Watch party tools never replace private Crunchyroll credentials. They add watchrooms, chat, and sync on top of each viewer's authenticated tab. Check that everyone can play the selected episode in their region before announcing the session.
