Open the capsule
Click the capsule at the top-right of your player to open room controls.

Create a room
Choose Create room, then copy the invite to share it with friends. Hosting needs Plus or Pro, including an active trial.

Invite a friend
Click the person-plus button next to End room to open Friends & groups. Choose Invite beside a friend or group. You can also copy the room link and send it yourself.

Media seats
Hosts control microphone and camera access in People. The round radio button is white when access is on and grey when it is off. Guests without access can still listen and chat. Up to four cameras can be on at once.

Reactions
In Settings → Reactions, turn on Quick reactions. Press a number from 1–0 to send its emoji. Click an emoji slot to choose a different one.

Send a message
Press Enter while watching to open the message field. Type your message, then press Enter again to send it.

Layout
In Settings → Layout, drag the cameras and chat to where you want them. Adjust their size, then choose Apply to save your layout.

Microphone & camera
Yellow microphone: hold V to talk. Click it for an always-on microphone in green; click again to return to push to talk. The camera button turns video on or off. These examples never use your microphone or camera.

Interface
In Settings → Interface, choose when the player controls appear. Auto hide reveals the capsule near the player edge. Smart shows participant pills when someone speaks or you hover the edge.

Room
In Settings → Room, choose how your microphone and camera start in each room. Last used remembers your previous choice. You can also set a fixed starting mode.

Where can I install AniDachi?
Install AniDachi from the official Chrome Web Store listing linked on this page. Do not install AniDachi from any other site.
How do I finish setup after installing?
Open Chrome’s extensions menu, pin AniDachi, then open a Crunchyroll episode, full YouTube watch page, or Netflix title and sign in when asked. Join a friend for free, or create your own room with Plus or Pro, including during a trial.
How do I confirm the installation in Chrome?
Chrome may show a confirmation while adding a new extension. Review the requested permissions and choose Add extension to continue.
Which browsers work?
Desktop Google Chrome 121 or newer, and Chromium Microsoft Edge. Safari, Firefox, Chrome on iOS/Android, and YouTube, Crunchyroll, or Netflix mobile apps cannot load this extension.
Will the extension update itself?
Chrome Web Store installations receive updates automatically. Refresh any open YouTube, Crunchyroll, or Netflix video pages after an update if needed. Your AniDachi account stays the same.
What permissions does AniDachi ask for?
Narrow hosts only: YouTube, Crunchyroll, Netflix, AniDachi, and our API. The extension does not request access to every website. See /security for the full permission list.
